Tommy Dreamer Returns to WWE!

By Robert Mulrenin

The innovator of violence, an ECW original and someone that the Dudley Boyz can always count on, Tommy Dreamer has returned to the WWE to take on the Wyatt Family! Sporadically seen since the closing of ECW in 2010, Tommy Dreamer has been rocking and rolling on the independent scene and proving he still has plenty of fight left in him. He has appeared in the Mattel WWE wrestling action figure line only once before, partnering (or brawling, depending on your memories) with Captain Charisma, Christian, in a Mattel WWE Battle Pack:

Sporting an ECW t-shirt & creating a ‘Dual Impact,’ this has been our only treatment of Tommy Dreamer in the Mattel WWE line so far. With a spot on look and gear, we could easily see a re-production of this same figure appear in the Mattel WWE Series line. What would be more exciting, however, is seeing a new Mattel WWE Tommy Dreamer figure released with another look.

Mattel WWE Series 58 Revealed & Available For Pre-Order!

Another massive Mattel WWE Series set is on the way! Mattel delivered on a set with extra wrestling figures in WWE Series 56 and looks to do the same in Mattel WWE Series 58! Fans will be treated to the perfect mix of Legends, newcomers and reigning WWE Superstars in this Series, including some debuts and returns from old favorites. Mattel WWE Series 58 includes:

  • Fandango
  • Lana
  • Bad News Barrett
  • Stardust
  • Undertaker
  • Edge
  • Kevin Owens
  • Bayley
  • Paul Orndorff

Lana returns to the Mattel WWE line shocking the world in a blue dress. She’s begun to make these dress suits famous on WWE television, and they’re now immortalized in Mattel WWE figure form. The Ravishing Russian is indeed ravishing even as an action figure.

‘Hug Life!’ That’s the motto of everyone’s favorite happy WWE NXT Superstar Bayley, here with her first ever Mattel WWE wrestling figure. Bayley is always all smiles and even more importantly, she is all talent. Her colorful attire is captured in the first Bayley Mattel WWE figure.

Rest in Peace certainly isn’t in the plans of The Undertaker anytime soon, as he is still going strong and ready to fight here in Mattel WWE Series 58! He’s been spotted in Mexico reuniting with Kane as the Brothers of Destruction and he has proven that despite some devastating losses, he’s still ready to brawl as hard as possible.

There’s only one Mr. Wonderful. Paul Orndorff has returned! The WCW Legend hasn’t been seen since the Mattel WWE Legends Series, but now he returns where he belongs, as a Mattel WWE Series figure!

You think you know Edge, but you have no idea until he returns in Mattel WWE Series 58. Recreating a look for the sorely missed, now Legendary former WWE Champion, Edge returns to the Mattel WWE Series with a sly look on his face and a taste for insanity and sleaziness. An ongoing thorn in the side of heroes like John Cena, Edge always knew how to take it to the next level to get whatever he wanted, and his latest Mattel WWE figure captures that aura.

I’m afraid I’ve got some GOOD news, and it’s that Bad News Barrett returns in the Mattel WWE Series 58! Delivering Bullhammers left and right and some Bad News for anyone who will listen to go along with it, Wade Barrett is still one of the most dangerous and aggressive WWE Superstars working today. He will continue delivering Bad News and his figure will represent that.

Stardust has shown his true colors since transforming from Cody Rhodes, and there are many of them. The latest Mattel WWE Series 58 Stardust is purple and silver, capturing the bizarre tendencies of the man straight from the Cosmos. Stardust’s looks match his personality…out of this world!

Since slowing down his dancing skills, Fandango has often been seen wearing an open chested track suit to show that he still has a physique like no other. In Mattel WWE Series 58, Fandango debuts that very same track suit, ready at a moments notice to tease a dance move, but only offering it if he feels like it. Fandango will only wait for people to say his name.

Kevin Owens has made his mark on the WWE like very few have before him. With a win over John Cena during his debut and a subsequent run with both the United States and Intercontinental Championships, Kevin Owens has proven that he was meant for the WWE all along. His first Mattel WWE figure is destined to be as big a hit as Owens himself in the WWE, and with a spot on debut, fans will likely go as crazy for this as they did for his first win.
