Mattel WWE Series 38 Pre-Orders Now Available!

The Mattel WWE Series 38 wrestling action figures are now available for PRE-ORDER at WrestlingFigures.com! While we can only speculate as to what they will look like right now, the set will include:
  • Sheamus
  • Vickie Guerrero
  • Chris Jericho
  • Kofi Kingston
  • The Miz
  • Dolph Ziggler

Sheamus has yet to return to the WWE, but speculation around Royal Rumble 2014 proves that anything is possible. Whether or not he will debut a new attire on television remains to be seen, but this release will most likely see standard Sheamus attire.

While taking a leave of absence from WWE, Chris Jericho works on other projects like a new podcast and his successful rock band, Fozzy. Fans were disappointed that Jericho’s new tattoo has not been featured on his wrestling action figures due to cross licensing issues. It is no telling, however, as to when or if Mattel works cross licensing issues out, so while there is usually no chance, Jerichoholics continue to speculate.

Dolph Ziggler has suffered from concussions recently and it has taken a toll on his career, bringing his leaps forward to a screeching halt. However, he remains a fan favorite and someone that die-hard wrestling enthusiasts wait to savor a big moment along with. This figure will most likely feature one of his colorful, elaborate, and very form fitting, wrestling trunk designs.

The Miz is a former World Champion and remains a mainstay on the WWE roster. Though he is not currently in title contention, he hopes to rekindle some contender fire at Royal Rumble 2014 and after changing facial hair styles, will probably have a newer look than his previous Mattel WWE basic series figures.

Kofi Kingston has sported long tights as of late when hopping into the squared circle and while it is too early to tell, it is entirely possible this Mattel WWE Series 38 Kofi Kingston figure will feature his new look and new attitude.

Vickie Guerrero has been sparsely seen since being drafted to Smackdown but she still makes an immediate presence felt when her trademark voice rings out in any arena around the world. Already having two Mattel WWE figures, the demand for an authority will keep Vickie Guerrero a hot commodity amongst wrestling figure collectors for years to come.

Daniel Bryan’s Year End Transition To The Dark Side!

Daniel Bryan has been a special favorite of fans since his underdog challenge against John Cena for the WWE Championship at Summerslam in 2013. He was beloved before but The American Dragon is cemented in the hearts of the WWE Universe as one of their favorite Superstars since being duped by Randy Orton and being harassed by the Wyatt family. That is all changing now as Daniel Bryan seems to have joined up with the cult-like faction, leaving RAW with them on the final show of 2013. His year can easily be showcased in these Mattel WWE releases:

Randy Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Daniel Bryan with the help of special guest referee Triple H much to the dismay of the WWE Universe. Due in Early March, Mattel WWE Battle Packs 27 will feature both Orton and Bryan and possibly the red Money in the Bank briefcase Orton used to cheat his way to the top in a move that was best for business.

Daniel Bryan’s first Mattel WWE figure with a long, full beard came in Mattel WWE Series 30, shouting and screaming, most likely at his former partner, Kane. It took WWE wrestling figure fans by surprise as it included a newly sculpted head and NO trunks that weren’t expected as soon as they appeared.

Whether a fan of YES, NO or just the beard, Daniel Bryan finally has the chops to include many levels of a WWE Superstar and it’s fully embodied in Mattel WWE Series 35. With a flaming red and white dragon color scheme and logos, Bryan has a figure that represents his current state perfectly.

At least, it did represent him perfectly until the actions of the Wyatt family. We will not know until 2014 exactly what happened to Daniel Bryan after RAW went off the air. This marks a very dark end to a very bright year.

Is 2014 The Year Of Dolph Ziggler?!

Dolph Ziggler has been one of the most watched and hotly anticipated WWE Superstars as fans wait for the breakout moment that will cement him as a top level talent. While many fans consider him on the same level, or even above the likes of Randy Orton or John Cena, and despite capturing World Championship gold, Dolph Ziggler has yet to reach an explosive level of popularity. The Showoff is waiting for his time to shine and has taken steps to try and attain it, like taking advantage of the love of Vickie Guerrero, commemorated in Mattel WWE Battle Packs 22:

Stealing the show and capturing the Money in the Bank briefcase, Dolph Ziggler’s athleticism is unparalleled, as is his flair for over the top outfits. A vest and a pink t-shirt to hang out of his trunks are featured in Mattel WWE Elite 19:

He has stuck to what works for him and is forcing the WWE Universe to take notice instead of changing to appease them. He maintains a similar look, always has a t-shirt hanging from his trunks (blue this time) and carries championship gold and a happy go lucky open mouthed smile in Mattel WWE Elite 24:

Dolph Ziggler is no doubt a future WWE World Heavyweight Champion but it remains to be seen when he will make that transition and run with the ball of WWE superstardom. 2014 could be the year that Ziggler makes a tremendous impact.

Mattel WWE Series 37 Makes Its Way to Pre-Order!

WrestleMania is rich with wrestling history, heritage and stories. Mattel commemorates WrestleMania with the WrestleMania Heritage series, currently showcased in Mattel WWE Series 37. This set has hot up-and-comers, classic stars and even a colorful manager that have all made impactful appearances at the WWE’s biggest show, WrestleMania. The set includes:

  • Randy Orton
  • Roman Reigns
  • Mr. Perfect
  • Batista
  • Zeb Colter
  • Ryback
Mattel WWE Series 37 Mr. Perfect!
Still in question is what Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig’s figure in this set will look like. Many fans are hoping for the classic yellow and blue look that made an appearance in Mattel WWE Legends 3, but Mr. Perfect has one many other perfect colors, including red, orange and green.
Mattel WWE Series 37 Batista!
The Animal Batista is making a major return to the WWE ring on January 20th, 2014. Just in time is his Mattel WWE Series 37 figure with a classic WrestleMania style look. Parted hair and less tattoos show a softer, more heroic side of Batista that hasn’t been seen in a long, long time.
Mattel WWE Series 37 Roman Reigns!
Roman Reigns is one of the hottest rising WWE Superstars. With a masterful spear and an intimidating size, he’s headed for super stardom and beloved by fans despite his association with the villainous stable, The Shield. His Mattel WWE Series 37 figure is intense, sporting a shouting headsculpt and embodies the power of his first WrestleMania appearance.
Mattel WWE Series 37 Ryback!

Ryback has been on a bit of a slump as of late, and he even took a loss to Mark Henry at WrestleMania, but everyone remembers his marching power over the World’s Strongest Man and the sound it made when he went down. He’s wearing the same outfit from WrestleMania 29 in Mattel WWE Series 37.

Mattel WWE Series 37 Zeb Colter!

Zeb Colter appeared in 2012 claiming to be the uncle of Jack Swagger and speaking with the attitude of a man fit for a tea party. At WrestleMania 29 he spoke of his disappointment in the values of every American except himself and The All American American. He finally gets his first Mattel WWE figure in Series 37.

Mattel WWE Series 37 Randy Orton!

Mattel WWE Series 37 Randy Orton!

Randy Orton has been a staple at many WrestleManias, taking on John Cena, CM Punk and even Triple H among others. He may not have had his career topping moments at the big event but to leave his name out of the WrestleMania conversation is nearly impossible to do. He looks just like the Apex Predator in Mattel WWE Series 37, calculated and cocky.

Brock Lesnar…UFC Bound? Or Still a Mattel WWE Staple?

Rumors have been running rampant that the beastly Brock Lesnar has been secretly planning a return to the octagon with UFC. He has openly and publicly claimed he is retired from his MMA career and vowed never to return, but rumors of some sort of superfight including Brock are the talk of the mixed martial arts town. This may seem difficult when considering his WWE career, but fans continue to speculate. Since debuting in the WWE, Brock Lesnar has been considered one of the most feared men on the planet, and his sheer wrestling ability is a major part of that. With WWE Undisputed Championship included, The Ringside Collectibles Exclusive ‘Here Comes The Pain’ Mattel WWE Brock Lesnar action figure embodies Brock’s first and most impactful WWE run:

Since returning to the WWE, Brock Lesnar has sported an MMA-style attire, including his sponsors and logos on his shorts. Although these cannot be captured in a Mattel WWE figure due to cross-licensing issues, the shorts and the fighting spirit remain, like in Brock’s Mattel WWE Elite 19 figure. This is the current, modern day version of The Next Big Thing:

Since Brock Lesnar enjoys time away from the ring and can’t always be present after leaving UFC for a WWE return, he has pulled no punches in maintaining a representative. That representative is none other than Paul Heyman, ECW founder and best friend of the big, bad brawler. Mattel captured the likeness of their business arrangement in Mattel WWE Battle Packs 25. The first ever Mattel WWE Paul Heyman figure is included:

Only time will tell if the very private Brock Lesnar is planning a return to the UFC. Will he balance his time between both companies? Is the idea that he could return to professional fighting just hot air? One thing is certain, Mattel has given fans excellent versions of this very big, very intimidating man.

A Hardcore 24/7 Mattel WWE Wrestling Figure Match!

Any WWE wrestling fan watching from the years of 1998-2002 remember the Attitude Era. One of the most popular aspects of the Attitude Era was the Hardcore Championship and its’ ’24/7 rule!’ Instated during the height of the championship’s popularity, the winner had to defend the title 24 hours a day and seven days a week from any oncoming challengers! Here are the Mattel WWE figures you need to have your own WWE Hardcore Championship wrestling figure circuit:

Kane held the Hardcore Championship multiple times, so his Ringside Collectibles Exclusive includes the Hardcore Championship. The belt will get your hardcore matches started.

The Road Dogg defeated Big Boss Man during a very dark time to become Hardcore Champion. Although he didn’t hold the title for long, it cemented his place in hardcore action by proving he could beat a former world title contender if the stakes were right.

Christian knew that the Hardcore Championship totally reeked of awesomeness so he snuck around and weaseled his way into multiple wins of the battered gold. Even defeating Molly Holly at WrestleMania, he took heavy advantage of the 24/7 rule.

Mattel WWE Elite 22 The Giant!

Mattel WWE Elite 22 The Giant!

Big Show captured The Hardcore Championship three times during his original WWE tenure, making a massive impact after coming over from WCW. The Giant figure may not be the exact era, but it is very close and with an nWo shirt, it would add extra spice to those wanting to recreate a WCW invasion! If you want a more accurate style, though, you could shoot for Big Show’s Mattel WWE Pay Per View 11 figure.

The Mattel WWE Elite 27 Rob Van Dam figure will provide the ECW legend’s hardcore presence for any Hardcore Championship match. He unified the title with the Intercontinental Championship, so it may have ended with RVD, but it can go on forever with your Mattel WWE figures.

Raise The Stakes With The Mattel WWE Steel CAGE!

Wrestlers in the WWE often can’t settle their differences in a regular match. When a grudge match just won’t do, the stakes are raised with a steel cage. When two Superstars are trapped together in a steel cage, they have to work out their differences with more than just punches and slams. They work them out in a cage match!

Kofi Kingston’s figure is still a bit of a mystery. Will it include an Intercontinental Championship from his latest short-lived run? Or will he be sporting his new long tights?

Once one of the most popular WWE Superstars, Rikishi Fatu grooved his way into the hearts of many Attitude Era fans. His figure will most likely offer plenty of stink-faces to go around.
Rob Van Dam triumphantly returned to the WWE at Money in The Bank 2013. A classic and beloved Superstar, this is his first Mattel WWE figure so fans of The Whole F’n Show are truly excited.

Still sporting his unique Rey Mysterio scheme and style, Rey pays tribute to Bruce Wayne’s alter ego by suiting up with ears and even a cape.
