Tommy Dreamer Returns to WWE!
By Robert Mulrenin
The innovator of violence, an ECW original and someone that the Dudley Boyz can always count on, Tommy Dreamer has returned to the WWE to take on the Wyatt Family! Sporadically seen since the closing of ECW in 2010, Tommy Dreamer has been rocking and rolling on the independent scene and proving he still has plenty of fight left in him. He has appeared in the Mattel WWE wrestling action figure line only once before, partnering (or brawling, depending on your memories) with Captain Charisma, Christian, in a Mattel WWE Battle Pack:
Sporting an ECW t-shirt & creating a ‘Dual Impact,’ this has been our only treatment of Tommy Dreamer in the Mattel WWE line so far. With a spot on look and gear, we could easily see a re-production of this same figure appear in the Mattel WWE Series line. What would be more exciting, however, is seeing a new Mattel WWE Tommy Dreamer figure released with another look.
Butt-Kicking 101 With CM Punk!
CM Punk has shocked the world and WWE fans everywhere time and time again with his words. He shocked the world and WWE fans everywhere once again when he left the WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble. And he shook the the WWE Universe and the Mixed Martial Arts fanbase as well as the entire sports world when he signed with the UFC! Sadly, this means it is extremely unlikely that we ever see CM Punk in a WWE ring again. This also means it’s extremely likely that we’ve seen our last CM Punk Mattel WWE wrestling action figure. Unless he is produced as a UFC action figure, your chances to get a CM Punk figure lie with these newly released Mattel WWE versions of the Straight Edge Superstar. With CM Punk’s popularity now only set to rise, these are going to become even more difficult to find as time goes on.
The Mattel WWE ECW CM Punk Exclusive appeared only at Ringside Collectibles and commemorated the beginning of CM Punk’s WWE career, wrestling for the ECW brand. Complete with ECW microphone, ECW Championship and gear accurate to the time frame, this smiling CM Punk recalls ‘happier times’ with the WWE. It also shows a CM Punk that is ready to fight.
The Mattel WWE Battle Packs 25 featured the attempt of the Best in the World to break apart the WrestleMania streak of The Phenom himself, The Undertaker. While CM Punk was unsuccessful in his attempt, the WWE Universe saw a grouchy, angry CM Punk that was capable of making a cerebral impact on such a massive Superstar like the Undertaker. After stealing the show at WrestleMania 29, WWE fans knew that CM Punk would never be forgotten and they have the perfect Mattel WWE Battle Pack to commemorate that.
CM Punk has paid tribute to the all time greats before, including Macho Man Randy Savage, but at SummerSlam he paid tribute to the Excellence of Execution with gear in the style of Bret Hart. This often requested and demanded Mattel WWE figure had fans finally feeling satisfied with a ‘Bret Hart’ version of CM Punk in what will likely be a crown jewel of the ongoing SummerSlam Heritage Series.
In what may be the final CM Punk Mattel WWE Elite appearance, Mattel WWE Elite 29 CM Punk includes a version of the weary, war torn and grizzled veteran. He has been to hell and back and still sees a future for himself beating whoever stands in front of him. With a removable fabric hoodie and Elite articulation, this CM Punk offers a version that hits his final appearances in the WWE right on the head. The Mattel WWE Elite 29 CM Punk proves that during his time in WWE, CM Punk truly was a butt-kicker.

CM Punk is BACK to ECW in a Ringside Collectibles Mattel WWE Exclusive!
CM Punk has been the topic of intense discussion over the past month as his contract status with WWE and appearances have come into question. Since Royal Rumble 2014, CM Punk is nowhere to be found and fans have constantly speculated as to his whereabouts, status with the WWE and more. Ringside Collectibles can now confirm that CM Punk will still appear in the Mattel WWE Ringside Collectibles Exclusive ECW CM Punk figure! Dedicated to Punk’s meteoric rise to fame beginning with his time served in the ECW brand, this CM Punk directly represents what classic CM Punk means to so many CM Punk fans.
With three accessories, the ECW CM Punk comes stylized to be exactly like his ECW days, complete with microphone, ECW Championship and X-Ray T-Shirt. When ECW and CM Punk fans think of his time in the ECW promotion, they think of this figure.
Underneath, CM Punk’s tattoos are accurate to the time frame, showcasing the tattoos that he had on his arms and stomach at the time. Not including too many tattoos, this figure matches CM Punk’s ink perfectly for the ECW brand inclusion.
Included with the figure is the ECW World Heavyweight Championship as it originally looked when CM Punk carried the title. With amazing detail and dripping red ‘Heavyweight Wrestling’ scribe, the ECW Championship is perfect for any wrestling figure fans looking to take it so old school they have to buy a ticket to a show at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Also included is a microphone showcasing the ‘modern’ ECW logo with razor-blade design and three famous letters. CM Punk spoke his mind freely in ECW and the sentiments didn’t change as his career grew and his accolades flourished.
On the back of CM Punk’s red trunks are the four letters of his last name. Punk is both his name and the attitude he carries when posed with a yes or no question. CM Punk does not take no for an answer and thinks luck is for losers.
CM Punk’s handsome face has now been re-done from his ECW days with perfect detail by the Mattel WWE Design Team. Sporting a smile and accurate piercings, CM Punk’s attitude and demeanor are all present in his new head sculpt.
It remains to be seen whether or not CM Punk will return to the WWE or if he has retired from the wrestling ring together, but fans can now celebrate where it all began with CM Punks ECW Exclusive. Whether they want to make Big Show tap out or produce an ECW brand that the WWE brass couldn’t, wrestling figure fans now have the means with this Mattel WWE ECW CM Punk Ringside Collectibles Exclusive.

Is CM Punk Gone From WWE? What Does This Mean For His Mattel WWE Figures?
The week after Royal Rumble 2014, speculation has run rampant on Twitter, Facebook and amongst the WWE Universe and beyond as to whether or not CM Punk is still with the WWE. Rumor has it that CM Punk, unhappy with his Royal Rumble loss and stature in the company, decided to leave the WWE early with a contract expiring in July and his absence from Monday Night RAW has further fueled this speculation. No one, including CM Punk himself, has made an official statement on the matter but rumors of fights with Vince McMahon, tension with Triple H and more have made people immensely curious about what is going on with the wrestling superstar they consider The Best In The World. Wrestling figure fans have already begun to speculate as to what this means for Mattel WWE CM Punk action figures and their future releases. Could Mattel WWE CM Punk figures be a thing of the past? Here are a few of the best Mattel WWE CM Punk figures so far:
The Ringside Collectibles Exclusive Mattel WWE Straight Edge Society CM Punk featured camouflage Straight Edge Society garb for the Straight Edge Superstar. Complete with a removable mask and an extremely detailed bald headsculpt, this CM Punk was hugely sought after by Mattel WWE figure fans, sold quickly and remains a hot item to this day. Celebrating Punk’s time in the Straight Edge Society, it captured the essence of his purely evil turn and cult-like feuds with Rey Mysterio and Big Show.
The Mattel WWE Elite 1 CM Punk, his first released Mattel WWE Elite during the launch of the Mattel WWE line, featured CM Punk’s post-Money In the Bank win look, confidence and edge. The grey and yellow outfit featured in this figure, unlike so many other CM Punk outfits, has yet to be replicated and remains unique and unchanged. Also included, now a thing of the past in the Mattel WWE figure line, was a cotton-style cloth t-shirt.
After a forceful takeover of The Nexus from Wade Barrett, CM Punk put his leadership skills to good use and ran the group into the ground while using it as a springboard for his own success. Fans are often reminded of CM Punk’s time in the Royal Rumble surrounded by Nexus members and his infamous “Pipe Bomb” speech that took place during his time as Nexus leader. The Mattel WWE Elite 11 figure captured both his time in the group and his transition to mega superstar, complete with Nexus armband and Nesus t-shirt, both removable so wrestling figure fans could easily have their CM Punk abandon the group if he needed to.
The Mattel WWE Elite 20 CM Punk was monumental for Mattel WWE wrestling figure fans as it included a new, slick-haired headsculpt and accurate, colorful tattoos that were finally realized as intended. This figure also included the Mattel WWE Spinner championship, commemorating CM Punk’s monumental WWE Championship reign that lasted over a year and ended at the hands of The Rock.
What could possibly be CM Punk’s last great feud in the WWE, he faced off with Undertaker at WrestleMania 29, angrily trying to end what he considered to be a self indulgent and silly WrestleMania streak carried by the Undertaker. Going so far as to make jokes with the urn of the Undertaker’s late father Paul Bearer, CM Punk reached into the mind of Undertaker to pull out a loss. He didn’t find it, but his memorable elbow drop on to Undertaker and his ongoing grouchy demeanor made the face off extremely memorable.
The latest planned Mattel WWE ECW CM Punk Ringside Collectibles Exclusive figure was revealed by Mattel and Ringside Collectibles at Ringside Fest 2013. A happier, smiling CM Punk included red trunks and boots, a microphone, heart t-shirt and ECW Championship from a time when the new Superstar was doing his best to make a name for himself in the WWE. Many die-hard wrestling fans had already taken to CM Punk, but he slowly but surely made his way atop the WWE ladder, and it began while in ECW. The fate of this Mattel WWE Ringside Collectibles Exclusive ECW CM Punk figure is currently unknown, but upon its release, it will be a fitting tribute as the start of a career in the WWE that many have not wanted to see end.
