Bow Down to Shinsuke Nakamura – NXT Champion!

With victory in the air, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Samoa Joe to become the NXT Champion at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II! Wowing the world around him by entering the arena with a personal violin player, Nakamura worked his Strong Style to defeat the hard hitting, massive powerhouse that is Samoa Joe and made fans out of everyone in the arena. While many in attendance were already huge Nakamura fans, now all members of the WWE Universe and the NXT fan base know the name if they didn’t before. Even more exciting is that Nakamura will debut as a Mattel WWE Elite wrestling action figure in the near future as revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2016!

Tommy Dreamer Returns to WWE!

The innovator of violence, an ECW original and someone that the Dudley Boyz can always count on, Tommy Dreamer has returned to the WWE to take on the Wyatt Family! Sporadically seen since the closing of ECW in 2010, Tommy Dreamer has been rocking and rolling on the independent scene and proving he still has plenty of fight left in him. He has appeared in the Mattel WWE wrestling action figure line only once before, partnering (or brawling, depending on your memories) with Captain Charisma, Christian, in a Mattel WWE Battle Pack:

Sporting an ECW t-shirt & creating a ‘Dual Impact,’ this has been our only treatment of Tommy Dreamer in the Mattel WWE line so far. With a spot on look and gear, we could easily see a re-production of this same figure appear in the Mattel WWE Series line. What would be more exciting, however, is seeing a new Mattel WWE Tommy Dreamer figure released with another look.

The Mattel WWE Panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015!

The Mattel WWE Panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 saw appearances from some of the biggest and brightest upcoming and top WWE and NXT Superstars today. With a panel featuring Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Charlotte Flair and William Regal, the Mattel WWE line and the overall state of the WWE and NXT were discussed with Mattel WWE Lead Designer Bill Miekina and a fan Q & A session! San Diego Comic-Con 2015 – Mattel WWE Preview Night Display!

It’s San Diego Comic-Con again, and as always, Mattel has not disappointed in offering us a few WWE surprises with their Preview Night display! With a look at WWE Superstars and Legends both previously announced and debuting, Mattel’s attention to detail and excellent offerings are better than ever.

 

Offering a first look at previously announced figures like Tyson Kidd, Sting, and the nWo in Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, Mattel also displayed new, never before announced figures like The Ascension, Jimmy Hart, J & J Security and more!
