Three years. It had been three years since The Shiekd stood by each other's side. Three years since Seth Rolins betrayed his brothers-in-arms, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. And still, for three long years, the WWE Universe wanted nothing more than to see The Shield reunite, and pick u where they left off. Even as rivals, Rollins, Reigns, and Ambrose showed glimpses of the brotherhood that once united them, triple-powerbombing common foes through tables, only to turn around and unleash their fury on each other. In 2017, however, signs started to appear that maybe... just maybe..., wounds might be healing. Dean and Roman never lost trust in each other, Seth and Roman were getting on the same page, and after making amends, Seth and Dean won the RAW Tag Team Championships. Yet, a Shield reunion was nothing more than rumors. All they needed now was a reason. That reason came in the form of Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro. The newly formed faction ganged up on Rollins, Ambrose, and Reigns, mocking their broken brotherhood. The three brothers needed no words. They knew what they had to do.
